B.I.G.’s “Notorious” Biopic Sits Atop Video & DVD Sales Chart
Biggie Smalls Still Topping Charts
The strong legacy of ‘Big Poppa’ is still making moves; “Notorious“ debuts on the Nielson Video & DVD Sales chart at the #1 spot. “Notorious” had some pretty strong competition with the film “The Wrestler” which produced two Oscar nominations for it’s lead actors Mickey Rourke & Marisa Tomei.
The film “Notorious” is a biographical picture that depicts the meteoric rise of legendary, iconic Hip Hop rapper Christopher Wallace b/k/a The Notorious B.I.G.from street hustler of the Brooklyn, NY streets to bonafide Hip-Hop Legend.
‘Notorious‘ has gross $36.8 million domestically and approximately $6 million internationally.
Highbrid Fact: Jamal Woolard who played “Biggie”and Anthony Mackie who portrayed “Tupac” in the film are both nominated for 2009 MTV Movie Awards
