Update: DMX Signs On To Be In VH1′s “Celebrity Rehab”…Make That A NO!!!!
X makes plans to clean up his act with VH1…Update: X’s PR person says this IS FALSE
UPDATE: DMX’s publicist emphatically denies that his client has signed on to do the drug rehab reality show “Celebrity Rehab” for VH1. Here’s the official statement:
Several media outlets have reported that my client Earl Simmons, aka DMX has signed on to appear in VH1’s Celebrity Rehab reality show. These reports are false and Mr. Simmons has not agreed to appear in any reality show. Mr. Simmon’s is currently serving a 90-day jail sentence at Tent City Jail in Arizona. He has expressed great appreciation to the overwhelming amount of support he has received from his fans during this difficult time. He would like his fans to know that he is taking this time to focus on his personal as well as spiritual growth, and is looking forward to being released soon.” – Pam Pinock
Rapper DMX has had a slew of legal troubles and altercations in recent years. Most, not all, can be attributed with his long standing battle against his addiction to illicit drugs. Well it seems DMX has signed on to be in the upcoming cast of VH1’s reality show “Celebrity Rehab.” The show provides help and rehabilitation to past and current celebrities who are fighting drug/alcohol addictions and substance abuse.
X is currently serving time in in a Phoenix detention center on counts of marijuana possession, theft, and animal cruelty. Best wishes to X and hopefully he can get his life together.

I’m hearing his publicist is denying it. Honestly I think it would be a great move for him. He could stage a great comeback story using the show a launch pad.
