First Look: Madden 10 Cover Art
I’m praying to God that the cover art curse doesn’t happen this year.
For the first time ever two athletes are gracing the cover of a Madden football game. Madden 10 has images of both Larry Fitzgerald and Troy Polamalu. Both of whom are from this past season’s Super Bowl teams.
Many of us have heard about the infamous “Madden Curse” where any player who appears on the cover gets injured that season. As many in The Nation already know, I live in Pittsburgh so I’m praying that the curse doesn’t hit this year as the Steelers can’t be without their best defensive player. Plus that Madden Curse stuff is all fake right? Right?
Thinks back on Garrison Hearst (1999), Barry Sanders and Dorsey Levens (2000), Eddie George (2001), Daunte Culpepper (2002), Marshall Faulk (2003), Michael Vick (2004), Donovan McNabb (2006), Shaun Alexander (2007) and Vince Young (2008).

wow…who was on last year? I forgot. Someone’s going to cut Troy’s hair in the middle of the night and zap his powers. Larry will loose Bolden and have db’s double covering him all year.
Brett Favre was on last years wearing a Packers uniform. They gave him the cover because he had just retired. Then he came back and EA had to create a new cover that had him in a Jets uniform. They were pissed about it. People think he dodged the curse by retiring and coming back. Lol, its like that movie Final Desintation.
No its still a curse but just this time EA was the one that got effected. I think that’s a good idea though. They do it with the college game. The cover boy is a player that just graduated…do that with the NFL.

the curse definitely continued last season. Favre injured his shoulder and played awful towards the end of the season. Plus 2005 Ray Lewis (which u forgot above purposely above)was the coverboy and tore his bicep and had a below average year, so IMO he was cursed too.
I was just about to bring up Favre’s Cringed ass throwin those passes late in the season.
