Danity Kane Becomes A One Woman Group
Only Dawn remains.
So on this week’s Making of The Band Diddy made his final decision about the remaining members of Danity Kane, Dawn and Andrea. In an interesting turn of events Diddy chose only to keep Dawn and said that he may rebuild the group around her while dropping Andrea from the label.
It seems a little odd as most people would not likely call Dawn the most talented or marketable member of the group. So why did he keep her? Maybe so she can continue her on screen romance with that guy from Day 26 which seems to be one if the shows most cared about themes. Or maybe it’s because, as some may remember from when the group was first formed, Dawn is the creator of the name Danity Kane. Thus she may have some legal rights to how it is used and Diddy doesn’t want to get into and legal mess.
In the end, no one really knows whats going on inside the mind of Diddy. Check out the video below to see Diddy drop the news about the future of their careers.
Why they keep the most unattractive and least confident woman out the group?
lets be honest, once the current crop of 9 yr olds moves on to something new there will be no Day 26 or Dannity Kane fans. People don’t want to see upcoming artists demoralized and bickering. At least not ones they intend on spending money with for the next 10 years.
Dawn couldn’t generate a spark with those chicken legs, much less a spark in the studio. But between all of them they could only muster up a campfire, so who gives a f*ck?

I agree…& u forgot to mention that muscrat that she calls hair that sit on a 72 degree angle adjacent to her cheekbone. Diddy ended more careers than any Hip-Hop artist in the history of rap w/o even rapping. Still respected…..

sounds like someone had their hateraid this morning. Dawn is by far the most talented girl in the group, for her dancing, writing and producing skills and her voice…….please it is unique and she can sing she doesnt sound like everbody else that can jsut sing. She was the most humble and appreciative of all the others in the group. I bet Aubrey was your favorit huh?…. Wow posing nude its been done a billion times already and you talk about least confident, i would say that was Aubrey such a young girl and she thought she needed to get all that plastic surgery so who is the one with the least amount of confidence. The other girls in Danity Kane are idiots. Even people with the most talent can’t catch a break, you are more likely to win the lottery than become a superstar. Here these girls were given a opportunity of a lifetime and couldn’t see it, or didn’t want it or maybe they just wanted to use the group as a stepping stone to pose naked. How stupid!!!!!
You go Dawn girl keep your head up and your integrity in tact. You have true unique talent and star quality and you don’t have to take all your clothes off or get Plastic surgery for people to relaize that.
Dawn is the most talented out of them all. I wathced MTB from the very beginning and I am very disappointed how Aubrey changed as time moved on. Dawn has been through a whole lot and she was the one who showed the true signs of wanting this group more than anything! Andrea allowed Aubrey to weaken her as a female. Aubrey allowed the fans to blow her head up and make her believe that she was and is something that she’s not. On the MTV finale, you could really see that Dawn has developed into a new woman (and she accepted that Danity Kane is officially an end chapter.)
D. Woods made a comment that her album was coming out this summer but in the same breath before that comment she states that a lot of record companies are looking at her. Now does that make any sense if she is to release her album in the summer? Oh! maybe she will release it on Youtube under her label? Anyway, I think we should give Dawn a chance to show her work. She really has a spiritual voice and I see her singing gospel music as well. The woman is gifted and That’s why Diddy kept her!

Diddy is not forming another Danity Kane; you know the rules, one album per act on Bad Boy before they get cut loose except for him of course. I was surprised they came back with another album. I think he’ll keep her around to do adlibs for him on his albums and other artists he bring on board and have her stick around as a songwriter. He’ll probably fill her head with false hopes that she will perform again only to keep her on the backburner, isn’t that what he did with Bab’s and the other guy?

Personally, as harsh as this might sound they got what was coming to them, I respect diddy’s hustle. For some reason people still aim to get signed by his label knowing that he is a shady character that conducts shady business. If they keep on coming to him he will continue to collect his money.
um did yall watch the sam show .she had the best voice out the group and was writing DK’S songs and arranging the vocals. and her strong feature are a blessing because when she is 50 she will still look the same.did you see Andrea without makeup? and she was getting fat
Dawn did have the strongest voice and maybe the best range. Aundrea was also very talented but I think Dawn is more of an entertainer. She writes great songs, sings, dances, and really entertains the crowd. I think she’ll do great by herself given a fair chance. If the Miley’s and Britneys can make it out there…come on, let’s give real talent a go. I think she’s a beautiful woman with a great spirit and I’ll definately support her solo career. There go my REAL Danity Kane fans! Real fans know Dawn has the best voice with Aundrea at a close second (in the studio)When they’re live Dawn and sometimes D.Woods are the only ones that sound similar to how they do in the studio. Dawn may not be the most marketable and if she goes solo she won’t do as well because she has more of an r&b feel than pop, but she was and will always be my fav.

Dawn was one of the most talented out of all the girls along side Aundrea and D. Woods. I think Diddy wanted to keep all three of them, but DWoods left on her own, and he didn’t like how Aundrea kept wanting to leave.
I like Dawn, personally. She’s got a great voice and good songwriting skills, so i can understand why Diddy kept her.
All I know is that Dawn must have some HELLA GOOD ‘dome’ in order to still be hanging around after all of DK’s fallout. Come to think of it, Donnie’s head game must be pretty fire too! (And would someone PLEASE tell ‘Q’ to stop acting like a fag!)

I love Dawn. She’s a beautiful woman inside & out. And she’s a hard-worker. She dealt with the DK situation with dignity, class and respect. I loved Danity Kane. They were a wonderful and timeless group and I’m upset to see it go. But it’s time to move forward with life, and that’s exactly what Dawn continues to do. Another issue of her comic book is to be released soon. To buy the 1st issue and the special MTV issue go to danitykanecomics.com. Dawn was the only one who was down for the group. Diddy kept her cause she has all around talent. She can dance, has one of the must beautiful voice in music industry today, and a talented songwriter. GO DAWN. DROST 2009!!!!
It was inevitable “DK” would fall apart anyway; because collectively they were a group of individually-mind girls. Aubrey O’Day was nothing more than a rebellious and mouthy playboy bunny and wannabe ‘pam anderson’ with a so-so voice. And knew her only real chance at making any real money was swinging on poles and walking around damn-near naked for playboy. Dawn has the goods and was THE LEADER of DK from jump-street. As for the rest of the girls, well, you know where they are…..
Dawn is strong, resilient and confident woman. She will survive and thrive. She writes songs, sings and dances.
I wish all the ladies (current & past) of Danity Kane the best in the future.

Dawn was the most humble and ride or die person in the group. She is talented and knows what it means to work hard. As much as people hate on Diddy and talk bad about him….He is a very successful business man….so he is obviously doing something right. He kept Dawn because she has a work ethic that Aundrea didn’t have…Although I love Aundrea….He wanted someone around that could fight when the times get tough……Aundrea just wasnt that person. As for Dawn….I think she is a wonderful person, beautiful on the inside and out…..She was the most talented in the group…..Admit it or not…..She had the best voice…..best dancer…..best all around…..Imma ride with you Dawn to the END….GOOD Luck MAMA!!!!
For all the haters, let’s look at this from a business end. Diddy had to let the others go. They had no heart and they were not humble.
Dawn is the 1st and last person to leave the studio and dance studio. She’s the only one who has real writing talent hence the reason she has a song on Day26 new album and most on DK albums. Not only is she a great writer but she was also the best dancer and one of the best singers in the group. After thinking about his money Diddy made the right choice. I love DK and I don’t think he should form another group. I think the singles Dawn has put out are hot. Google “Fallen Away and Release Me” to hear some of her singles that are floating around the industry.
D. Woods was my girl but i’m a bit disappointed how she didn’t humble herself and realize how many people wanted to be where she was. I would’ve taken her shoes all day. She doesn’t have a chance solo. She’d be competing w/ other R&B artist like Keysha Cole and Chrisette Michelle. Besides we barely by CD’s now especially those of us R&B lovers (you know what I mean). I think Dawn has a chance regardless of looks (makeup does wonders) because she truly is the most talented member of DK. She’s a hell of a writer and she can dance her A$$ off. Diddy should’ve tried to market Aundrea and Dawn as a group because the 2′s voices together would be sick…as in good. I feel why he picked Dawn only cause Diddy wasn’t about to let someone else like Def Jam or J Records take her even if she writes for others.

DAWN is amazing. She is truly being slept on. She has what it takes to survive and she will survive in the industry and be successful. She has the drive, work ethic, talent, whits, business mind, the X factor etc. DAWN is BEAUTIFUL and she will prove all the naysayers and haters wrong and she is already doing so at this very moment.
I understand why Diddy did it…Ya’ll go back and watch the history of MTB with the gurls & ya’ll will understand too. Dont let some of the other talent-less people who think they looked good in the group sway your judgements from natural and effortles beauty. This gurl practically made Danity Kane–wrote hot songs, sung her heart out, performed like crazy, and at the end of the day everyone wanted to bail out but her. Now that’s triflin’. Yeah Aundrea came back, but she was the first to show weakness, and that stayed imprinted in Diddy’s mind. Shan just left without saying 2 words… D bailed and aint even officially get fired like Aubrey did cuz Diddy took it back. All of them except for Dawn wanted it badly and fought to the end. Even now, Dawn is the only one that has tried to address the issue. The rest have been nowhere to be found, and so if they succeed in the future and try to drop their ablums, I will also be nowhere to be found…
I say to her, stay blessed and stay strong because she’s going through a storm right now with all the haters pouring rain on her from all angles, but she will come out of it with flying colors.

dawn is one of the more talented and unique members of Danity Kane…all the others were pretty plain and the same-old same-old. I love Drea and all, but hey it’s her own fault for wanting to leave in the first place. We’ll just see what happens next
