‘Housewife’ Eva Longoria Parker Desperately wants You To ‘Go Green’

Teams with Butt company to launch new eco-friendly campaign

Eva Longoria

The never really had to be desperate housewife, Eva Longoria (Parker) is doing her part to save the planet.  She recently teamed up the very oddly branded H.E. Butt Grocery (H-E-B) as part of a campaign to encourage grocery shoppers to go ‘green’.  H-E-B sells a line of reusable shopping bags designed to encourage shoppers to use them instead of the eco-unfriendly plastic ones.

Green Bag

H-E-B has created a limited-edition Eva Longoria Parker reusable bag and is currently featuring her in their Earth Day ad campaign. The bags will sell for $1.49 at H-E-B stores in Texas through April 30, 2009.

“The environment is very important to me and through various initiatives of my own and with partners like H-E-B, I work to educate people about what they can do to save the planet by using less energy, recycling and implementing ‘green’ business and personal practices,” said Longoria Parker, who is also the wife of San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker.
