Eminem Frenzy: Teams up with Vibe to look for #1 Stan
Will be featured on the magazines “Real Rap Issue” cover
I told you the Eminem frenzy is in full effect. Not only will the Shady One be on TWO covers of the June issue of XXL magazine but he’s also featured on Vibe Magazine’s 2nd Annual Real Rap issue. In conjunction with the issue, Em has teamed up with Vibe to takeover its on going rap battle property, “Vibe Verses” to launch a competition that gives aspiring emcees a shot at wearing the crown as Eminem’s “No. 1 Stan.”
Would-be contestants have until April 30th to log onto NumberOneStan.com and download the Eminem instrumental and record a 60 seconds video clip of them rhyming to the track. Vibe will select 10 finalists who will record a second minute long clip to determine the finalist who will compete head to head for the grand prize, an engraved microphone certifying them as Eminem’s “No.1 Stan,” and a feature in the magazine.
“Battling is the way I came up, so it’s gonna be interesting to watch a rap battle unfold online,” said Eminem via press release. “Vibe is taking it out of the clubs and street corners and putting it on the net. MCs better bring it, because I’m watching.”
