Terrence Howard Still Hot About Not Being In Iron Man 2
So did Marvel screw him or did he screw himself?
As many of us know by now, Terrence Howard will not be in Iron Man 2. He has been replaced by Don Cheadle. Details on what exactly happened to keep him out of the sequel are few though most reports say that he wanted more money than Marvel was willing to pay him.
While at a recent press event Terrence Howard was asked frequently about what happened to keep him out of Iron Man 2. This is what he said…
“Iron Man happened with that. Marvel happened with it. They made a choice. They made a very, very bad choice. They didn’t keep their word. They didn’t honor our contract. They sent everyone out into a field and told them to work and produce a great bounty. You produce a great bounty, and then when it’s all in the storehouse, you are not allowed into the storehouse.” Howard goes on to say of Hollywood politics, “(M)ake sure your Ts are crossed twice.”
The funny part is what he said about his former cast mates from the first Iron Man film…
“One of the things that actors need to learn to do is take a tip from Friends [whose cast members all held out for higher pay]. You always choose to stick together. One for all and all for one. Our Gang, you know? Let Spanky be our rule.”
The odd part about that of course being is that Howard was actually the highest paid actor in the first movie. Earning more money than even the star Robert Downy Jr.
And what does he think of Don cheadle filling his shoes?
“I want to see Don Cheadle become me. I want him to do better than me. That’s what I really want to see. I think he can. Don Cheadle is the reason I got on Crash. He was one of the producers on Crash, and he called and got me in there. So it’s like Don is good by me, anything he does. He’s given me the greatest gift I could ever imagine having. Don gave me that, so anything I have, I’ll share with him.”
Who really thinks that he’s telling the truth?

He got paid more than Downey for Iron Man? Disgusting….I guess that’s REAL Hollywood politics, b/c Howard was a A-B list celebrity b4 Iron Man came out. Downey was M.I.A. for a couple of years making him a C-D list celebrity. Hence the possible reason that Howard was paid more. Now, that Downey is an A-list celeb I’m sure that he wants more money than the War Machine..it’s only natural. Not a good look spaceman

From what I hear, Howard ended up getting more than Downy because he was the first actor signed on. After his deal was already signed, Marvel shrunk the budget for the film which meant less money for for any actor signed from then on. Thus we have a supporting actor getting paid more than the lead.

Hollywood is shadey. Iron Man II is a new movie, new budget. Fine, he got paid more for the first film because he signed first…well, it’s a new film, so he will get paid less. If he walked after that then it’s on him, if they never offered than there is nothing he can do. Is he really dumb enough to turn down less money to be in a box office smash sequel?
Why the f**k is Terrence Howard crying? This is the nature of the beast and he knows it! He is wishy-washy anyway. I saw him do an interview where the host gave him a chance to man-up on the subject of being a leading Black man in Hollywood and he bitched up and kissed so much white ass that it disgusted me! Too late to cry after you sell your soul to the devil, biaatch!!!
