Eminem Officially Inducts Run DMC In Rock Hall of Fame
We’ve got the flicks and Video
I have shared my gripes about Eminem being chosen by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame to induct the legendary Run DMC. Despite my feelings about the decision, we all knew the day was destined to come and it did this past Saturday (April 4th.)
Though we can argue who the Hall chose to immortalize the pioneering Hip Hop group, Eminem did his part. To his credit he really took the responsibility seriously (as he always does) and donning a fresh leather jacket and a Run DMC-esque black Fedora, Em issued a rousing address. Peep the pix and the video.

Great speech, he did a great job!
That was a great induction. I was born and raised in Chicago and I can definitely say that Hip-Hop culture and music was not the same in the Midwest and the West Coast as it was in New York. It had a greater impact on the rest of the country simply because it was created and evolved in New York first. I’m not surprised to hear that kind of true reverence and respect coming from someone that’s from Detroit.
