The Government Will Soon Be Able To Search Your Laptop Under Obama’s New Copyright Plan
i don’t know about this
It looks like America has now become a culture of extreme surveillance. If this agreement goes through, people’s laptops can be searched for illegally downloaded mp3s or movies the next time they pass through airport security.
The Obama Administration is currently negotiating the ACTA Agreement with several international partners.The proposed agreement would empower security officials at airports and other international borders to conduct random… searches of laptops, MP3 players, and cellular phones for illegally downloaded or “ripped” music and movies.

“thought to be in breach of copy right” So they plan on proving it’s illegality how?.. And they’re calling it a matter of National Security. National Security my ass, more like National Invasion. Whatever happened to reasonable doubt before the right to search your property. Think about how many people they’ll find with a high probability of shared, ripped, or pirated files. Sh*t I bet every single person reading this post has some ripped music or more on their iWhateverthehell. Kind of ironic that Obama claimed he’ll bring change and transparency in gov’t and we’re about to go from tapping phones and e-mails to all of your electronic devices without much detail as to how and what will be done. I understand the need to tame piracy but this is NOT the way you go about it.
Everytime you peck your keyboard, speak into a phone its being recorded. Certain words are key and will locate you if you type them in and you’ll be monitored. Ole GW was doin it and the public knew about it too but were powerless bc their ploys fell on def ears. This only ‘legalizes’ the practice of control and spying on YOU!!!!!!
