Ice Cube To “Ride Along” in Upcoming Comedy
New Line action comedy to feature Cube as Rogue Cop
Rapper turned actor, Ice Cube has been busy doing his thing both on screen as well as behind the camera for years now. So what’s up next for the G? Well today, New Line pictures announced that for the first time since “Friday After Next” they will be working with Cube on an action comedy named “Ride Along.” According to Variety, Cube is slated to co-produce with his vision partner Matt Alvarez.
Cube reportedly will play a rogue cop who is overprotective of his sister. After learning her engagement to a rich white psychiatrist, he tries to sabotage the relationship with his future brother-in-law riding shotgun.
The project will begin production this summer but several details are still to be determined.
