Solé Sets the Record about Her Husband Ginuwine & LisaRaye Beef
Former rapper never bought into the hype but still angry with hubby
I just got some scoop from my homegirl Ericka at Sister2Sister Magazine on that Ginuwine/ Solé/ LisaRaye drama. The magazine’s publisher and gossip maven, Jamie Foster Brown recently chopped it up with the former female rap artist and put the rumors to bed. Solé (who goes by Tonya now,) said while she was somewhat caught off guard the rumors of her wilding out and packing up show were off base.
“I was like, that’s funny. First of all, I’m not packing up no four kids and disrupting their lives in the middle of the school year, I don’t care what he did. That’s just foolish,” Solé laughed. “But they were reporting this like they had seen me out here packing up my bags.”
Though Solé heard about the LisaRaye rumor through a friend of the family she admits “I believed it wasn’t true from the beginning. My being upset about it was just the fact that it caught me so off guard.”
Where Solé feels her husband went wrong was in his dealing with the situation. She believed that he should have told her LisaRaye was starring in his new video and when he heard about the rumor he should have warned her it might hit the fan.
Proof positive that even celebrity relationships infused with fame and money aren’t immune from the common bouts of miscommunication.

All I can think about is that song they had “It Wasn’t Me” when I hear about this story. Back When “The Senior” had cornrows. And Sole’ was looking good in that tube scene…ahh yess.

This sounds like a publicity stunt to benefit BOTH of them and his wife being in on it appearing angry & him saying so to fuel the fire. I hope they have more sense than that. You don’t ever place your marriage on the firing line even in pretend.
He said he couldn’t go into why he didn’t tell his wife LisaRaye was cast in the video, but I doubt any of that is true either because he wouldn’t still have contact with her if they had been involved and just call her like it was nothing. His wife would have stopped all that, so I think they’re all playing games to help Ginuwine and LisaRaye’s career.
Does anyone (old enough to remember) remember him and LisaRaye dating back in the day? If so, post it.
Sorry Ginuwine–don’t believe you hun. Your interview with Sister2Sister has Lying and Conniving all over it. Your body language, the lack of eye contact, the stuttering–Liar. You didn’t tell Sole about it because you had something to hide. You found out that LisaRaye is single again and you copped her as fast as you could. You wanted to “enjoy” her while you could and you knew if you told Sole, Sole would “ruin the fun”. You’re so full of it–grow up.
Something about this story disrupts my spirit. Stacy you might have a very good point. Good way to raise some hoopla and hype to get everyone to say “let’s see this video in question”. Wow…the lengths people would go.
