Method Man Blames Weed, Not Recession for Tax Repo’d Navigator
Wu-Tang member was too high to pay back taxes
Last week we reported that Method man owed $52,503 in delinquent New York State income taxes and as a result, officials from the Department of Taxation came to his Staten Island crib in the wee hours of the morning and along with four NYPD cops seized his 2008 Lincoln Navigator.
“I knew why they were there. It wasn’t like ‘Oh my God! Noo!! Don’t take it!’ like it is on that TV show ["Operation Repo"],” told the New York Daily News. “I was half-dressed, and it was so early that I just said, ‘Okay, you’re taking the truck. … Aight.’”
So it was his business manager who screwed up right?! Maybe an oversight at the Department of Taxation? Method Man says no…it was simply just too much weed.
“Myself, I’m a pothead,” he explains on the set of a video shoot for his new album, “Blackout 2,” with Redman. “It’s no secret. Everyone knows that. I go on the road and forget everything else. Sure, [the tax department] sent letters to my house saying, ‘We need this money.’ They started sending them in 2002. Here it is, 2009, and I never paid this s*** because I don’t think like that!”
“I could have easily just written them a check for whatever amount, but no – I waited until they knocked on this door and were like, ‘We got your truck and we outta here,’” he laughed.
Honesty is the best policy. I can’t be mad at him…he knows he has a problem with weed and knows his limitations. While I don’t smoke I can see how under the extreme influence this could have happened.

I guess he learned from A-Rod. If you did dirt…just souljaboytellem.

I smoke too and I aint never forget to pay my car note.
Apparently he doesn’t need to use his ride to get his fix. I’m sure if he had to make his own run he would have paid it.
GREAT POINT!
some silly shit
