Citizens of the Highbrid Nation, the fam and my people often ask me why it seems I hate on virtually every record that hits the radio.  Its simple…I f*cking HATE rappers.  Its ironic that I, as a child of the Golden Age of Hip Hop and a huge advocate of the culture, would be her music’s worst critic.

But as the last Hip Hop fan on earth that’s never spit a verse, I feel I’ve built up enough equity to sh*t on the music, the wack ass fashion and these silly ass rappers when I feel like it. The difference between me and rappers though is I give a F*ck.  Rappers now a days just throw some sh*t on the wall real quick and hope it sticks like your chemistry homework assignment you copied from your lab partner 4 minutes before class.  WHERE’S THE EFFORT?  THE PASSION? THE RESPECT?

Gone are the days when emcees took their PROFESSION seriously enough that they not only worked it 9 to 5 but around the clock aiming to be on top.  Now rap is a part-time gig and on its best days, a distraction from a burgeoning D-list movie career or a poorly conceived clothing line.  How disrespectful is that?!

Rappers expect us to “support” them as they ascend to the top buying all kinds of garbage ass underground mixtapes to the tune of 10 a week.  And what do we I get in return?  Piss poor major record label albums littered with guests rappers on 17 of the 20 tracks INCLUDING 2 of the 3 skits.  Then the music industry has the nerve to tell me I can’t download music? F*ck you!

While I’ve written off rappers a long time ago, disillusioned emcee, Pack FM has launched a campaign to combat the trend.  Frustrated with the state of our beloved music, he is encouraging HipHop lovers worldwide to take a stand and let these “rappers” know that I (and the other 2 rap fans out there who don’t rhyme) demand and deserve more.

His campaign (and signature record) “I F*cking Hate Rappers” is not just your typical bash against the “wack mc”, it’s what he refers to as a “call to action for people to raise their standards and show respect for the art form, in an age where ‘rapping’ is the last thing rappers are known for.”

So far he’s recruited the likes of Masta Ace, Iron Solomon, DMC, B Real, Sadat X (formerly Derek X of the greatest group of all-time Brand Nubian) , Skyzoo, and Poison Pen to join in his crusade.  To drum up support, Pack FM is encouraging supporters to speak out via YouTube for a chance to win a FREE “I F*cking Hate Rappers” T-shirt before they go on sale.
