Public Enemy, Roots Perform “Bring The Noise” Live On Jimmy Fallon

Posted by Juan

Black Thought sheds the suit and spits a 16, Professor Griff soned

Late Last Night (early Tuesday morning) pioneering political supergroup, Public Enemy took the stage with newly minted house band for “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon,” the Legendary Roots Crew for what amounts to one of the rarest Hip Hop performances you’ll ever see.  While P.E. is clearly past their time (exhibit A: Chuck D‘s pirouette dance moves) it was really dope to see them hit the stage and be backed live with Hip Hop’s first band.

I was glad to see they let my man Black Thought get out of those stuffy dress clothes he’s been forced to rock and do his thing for a quick 16 bars.  I did however notice that with Thought playing the front Professor Griff was relegated to the waaaay back.  Even the S1W’s got more shine.  We all know he’s always been on thin ice with the group so who knows.

Dope performance, but Professor Griff acted like a true bitch by keeping himself out the cipher.
