Bond No. 9 Launches “Brooklyn” Fragrance
The essense of Brooklyn…in a bottle.
I’ve lived in Brooklyn pretty much my entire life and although “The Borough” as we call it has many defining characteristics I wouldn’t quite call the smell to be one of them. Fragrance designers Bond No. 9 beg to differ. This month they plan to introduce their long awaited signature “Brooklyn” fragrance. The fragrance which they say is suitable for both men and women (hmmmmm) will come in this funky bottle. You can cop the fragrance now at the Bond No. 9 store or at Saks Fifth Avenue nationwide.
“With the words BROOKLYN and BOND NO. 9 spelled out in a vivid array of colors, this is an example of contemporary street art with a message. In fact, the dynamic lettering transcends the Bond No. 9 centerpiece token logo it’s meant to be enclosed in—and almost seems to take off beyond the curved and angled shape of the bottle itself.”
Has anyone actually tried the smell? Please chime in and let us know if you have. If its not weird enough that they’re trying to capture the essence of a city that smells like dog piss in a bottle, the scent is also unisex. The last such sheik fragrance that I can remember like that was CK1. That stuff smells horrible. Its like adding lemon juice to Cool Water. Hopefully this is a little better.
