Playboy Playmate, Aubrey O’Day Invited to Barbie’s 50th Birthday Party?
Is it me or is Barbie no longer a doll for little girls? Is this the image we want to send?
Nevermind that Aubrey O’Day looks like her eyelids have been glued open. We won’t get into that. This photo, courtesy of Basterdly was taken on the red carpet outside of Barbie’s 50th birthday party. What’s wrong with the world when the sitting cover girl of Playboy is allowed to attend a party for a little girl’s toy doll?
Highbrid Nation has often endorsed the art that is nudity, however the gauntlet falls on the dodo handling the guest list for this one. If a woman wants to show off her breast and pum pum in a magazine that’s fine but she shouldn’t be invited to a party celebrating a symbol of young girls childhood for the last 50 years. I mean O’Day practically drove directly from the playboy photo shoot to the party.
Do we not stop to think about the message that we’re sending to little children or are we as newly indoctrinated adults so eager to produce an excuse to have a party, invite celebrities whomever they might be or do and consume mass amounts of liquor? I mean at the end of the day is a latenight/ nightclub party appropriate for the Barbie image? Matel needs to have their coat tails pulled on this one all the way around. Not a good look.

I hated barbies growing up, I had a complex because of that shedevil that is why I resorted to playing with hot wheels. A lot of white little girls look up to Barbie because they want to have the pretty dream house and gorgeous ken and hot convertable, you know, the American dream.

as for aubrey, She says that she is not this air head everyone thinks she is, she just acts like this because this is how people will pay attention to her. Besides, she and Barbie are so much a like, they both have the personality of a cotton ball.

Have yall looked at a Barbie and Ken naked? These dolls can if not careful wreck havoc on a young girl’s self-esteem. Barbies seem innocent enough, they incourge creativity through fashion and fantasy, but I am not a big fan of Barbie.
In all honesty Aubrey looks like one in her photos.
