Jay Electronica Recruits Via Twitter For Fast To Slay Inner Devil
72 hour fast, no profanity, low self-esteem, no food only water.
You run into all kinds of things following interesting people on Twitter. This morning, anyone who follows rapper Jay Electronica (Twitter.com/JAYELECTRONICA) were hit with an onslaught of tweets about some “fast.”
Jay aka Erykah Badu‘s baby daddy was tweeting so fast so much it was kind of hard to keep up but after decoding his many messages it appears he’s leading a worldwide “Inner Devil” slaying fast. Currently he’s debating with his followers when it will start (tonight, saturday or sunday.)
Here are the basics: Its a 72 hour fast. No food, no profanity and no self esteem only water in effort to refocus on bettering oneself and ‘slaying the inner devil’ within us.
@JAYELECTRONICAToday is the day i turn my life around. Who wants to go on a 3 day fast?
@JAYELECTRONICA 72 hour fast starting sunday midnight eastern time. 3 days of water. 3 days of no prafnity. 3 days of no lower self. lets be better
@JAYELECTRONICA and while we’re fasting.. we have to pledge to only be positive towards everyone we encounter regardless of whom or what!
@JAYELECTRONICA whoever doesnt fast with us.. send out prayers and energy and good thoughts…
@JAYELECTRONICA for those dming [Direct Messaging] with good questions about medical concerns.. fruit and water if you cant do water alone for health reasons.
@JAYELECTRONICA i’m starting with arrogance, laziness, greed and not following through on my word… which devils are you slaying first?
Although I don’t think I’m going to participate I am a proponent of fasting. Its a spiritual cleanse. I won’t get into the religion but basically it allows you to use the hunger and or absence of other as a spiritual alarm clock to meditate for the cause in which you are fasting. When your body says its hungry instead of eating you focus.
Something different I guess.
