Snoop Dogg made an appearance at the Nation of Islam’s Annual Saviours Day Celebration, where cementing rumors that the Doggfather had converted to Islam. Snoop seemed very much into the sermon being given by the leader of the Nation, Minister Louis Farrakhan. Snoop sat in the audience paying close attention and afterwards had this to say: “When you get a speech from Minister Farrakhan it’s about a mirror, it’s about looking at yourself. It’s about seeing yourself and what you can do to better the situation… We’re doing a lot of wrongs among ourselves that need correcting.” When asked by reporters if he planned to convert to the Nation of Islam, Broadus maintained he had already joined: “I’m already in the Nation, that’s why I’m here. I’m an advocate for peace. I’ve been in the peace movement ever since I’ve been making music. “My whole thing is not about really trying to push my thing on you. It’s just about the way I live, and I live how I’m supposed to live as far as doing what’s right and representing what’s right. That’s why I was here today.” (Game Blouses)!

I can’t be mad at that. The tough thing with celebrities who convert to religions with very strict guidelines is that the media and blogs, paparazzi will invariably follow them 24/7 to wait for and to document their slip ups.
