Recession Forces Terrence Howard To Fire His Brother

Posted by Juan

Actor had to pink slip his sibling from contracting company

Terrence Howard

The U.S. economy is in the toilet.  Perhaps you’ve noticed…maybe you’ve even picked up a second gig to make ends meet.  While Terrence Howard and many other celebrities may not be living on the poverty line they do have other jobs which have been adversely effected by the economic downturn.

According to the New York Daily News, the actor has been running his own contracting company in Philadelphia, but due to the crappy economy business has gotten so slow that “I had to let my brother, Antonio, go,” he told the paper. “We thought we had four or five jobs lined up. But the loans aren’t out there. I can’t carry him.”

With Howard turning down a reoccurring role in the “Iron Man” franchise because the price wasn’t right, its clear although his contracting business may be on the rocks, he’s not going to let movie execs force him to take less than he’s worth.  Don Cheadle will assume his role in the sequal.
