Russell Simmons Isn’t Supportive of New Run-DMC Bio-Pic
Bends Over and Takes A Crap all over this Joint
It’s been reported in various outlets that a Bio-pic about what some would consider the Greatest Rap Group of all time Run-DMC is being made. The Producer of the flick Dallas Jackson wanted to have the support of the group founders and the man who discovered and manged the group in its early years Russell Simmons. Simmons is not really feeling the project and in an interview with MTV he gives his reasons why:
“That movie has been a made few times already,” Simmons told MTV News. “I don’t know if it’s that exciting to do that movie at this time. I certainly don’t know if a third movie about Run-DMC should be made on a shoestring budget.”
“Most movies made about our culture have been made on a shoestring budget,” Simmons continued.
“Sometimes they’re very talented and creative and they get through it, like ‘Notorious.’ I don’t think Run-DMC’s story … it’s not gonna change them if the story is told at this time. It depends on if the studio is as inspired to do it as the producer says he is.” (GAME BLOUSES)!
