Mardi Gras
New Orleans not forgotten
New Orleans has literally made it through the storm. As we celebrate Fat Tuesday February 24, 2009 let us not forget the lives lost in Hurricane Katrina 2005. To New Orleanians, “Mardi Gras” refers to the whole Carnival Season; visitors tend to refer to Fat Tuesday as “Mardi Gras. The festivities begin this weekend “The colors of Mardi Gras are Purple, green and gold. Purple represents Justice, Green represents Faith, and Gold represents Power. I want to retire to New Orleans when it becomes time for us to hand down the Highbrid Nation to the younger generation. Its such a beautiful city and by far the most cultural I’ve ever visited.
