Watching Black History: African American Veteran Remembers Wartime Experiences
Decorated African American veteran Johnnie Stevens says that the experiences of blacks during World War II proved they could achieve almost anything they wanted.
As someone who is an Army war veteran, hearing stories like that of Johnnie Stevens means something extra special. There was a time when many American didn’t think blacks were good enough or smart enough to have certain combat positions. Johnnie along with many others proved them all wrong.

I really enjoy this series. Its a shame because people will drive tons of traffic to our beef, rihanna and fatbacks but when it comes to our own history people ignore it.
