People In Streets Using “President” Instead Of “Nigga”?
Could the election of Obama mean that black people have found a replacement for the controversal term?
Check out this news report which shows some people in New York have started using “president” in lace or “nigga” when speaking to each other…
After watching this it is obviously a comedy piece though Juan tells me that NY1 is a real news station in New York so I’m a bit confused. Also a website called presidentplease.com is mentioned which seems to be a real blog dedicated to replacing the “nigga” with “president”.
Regardless if this is a joke or not, would it be that bad is we did indeed replace the one word for the other?

I don’t know about no president although I can see it sticking. I already don’t use the “n*gga” term because I find it ridiculous. I prefer to call black men “brother” I think it’s a lot more respectful and uplifiting, again IMO.
Its a phony. The NY1 font for the time is a little different although the editing skills are very commendable.

It shouldn’t ever catch, think about how insecure so many black people are about the word in the first place. The word shouldn’t even have as much power as it does, but it does. Would it be smart to go give another word that much power? President is a word that for most(or at one time, Most) showed a sign of respect, to turn this word into another form of saying nigga would be to down grade the word. Then every time someone walks along and says “What’s up my president” you will have another fight. To sign President as slang, would be to weakin every person that feels any type of – emotion when hearing it. When the game is done and the clouds clear it will turn into another way to hurt someones feelings. Remember you have freedom of speech til u hurt someones feelings, funny how it works. Dumb idea. Just think of all the cry baby crap we already have to hear, just google the damn word click the definition

Funny u ask me, it’s rasict to judge a whole race (“white world”) by the action or believes of the people not as a whole. See from the definition it’s ok as long as it’s not talking about black people that way?
