Jermaine Dupri Wins 50K in D. Wade’s ‘T-Mobile myFaves Shot of a Lifetime’
Producer scores for Boys & Girls Club
During a private red carpet event hosted by the Miami Heat’s Dwyane Wade, Jermaine Dupri was one of celebrity contestants to compete in the “T-Mobile myFaves Shot of a Lifetime” charity contest during NBA All-Star Weekend in Phoenix. Each was given the chance to shoot up to five basketball shots with the opportunity to win anywhere from $10k to $50k for the charity of his choice. The producer who fashions himself a decent hooper hit all 5 shots and scored $50,000 for the Greater Atlanta area Boys & Girls Club.
“I’ve learned a lot as a young man coming up in the ranks of the music business and saw many examples of what celebrity really means — using your blessings to bless somebody else,” said Dupri after winning $50,000. “Not for fanfare or fame, but to be able to hopefully help someone else in need.”
The celebrity event was a kick off for T-Mobile’s national promotion “Shot of a Lifetime” sweepstakes which gives one lucky winner and their “fave five” the compete in a game of H.O.R.S.E. against Dwyane Wade during the Eastern Conference Finals for a chance to win $50K. H.O.R.S.E. was officially added to the schedule of NBA All-Star events this year. Log onto T-Mobile.com/NBA for more information or text “MYSHOT” to 72579 to enter.
