And Her Name Is… Erykah Badu Names Her Daughter Via Twitter
aint the internet grand?
Erykah Badu decided to use twitter and not some lame, boring press release yesterday to name her new baby girl. Mars Merkeba was also welcomed to the the earth via the same network platform. This is Jay Electronica’s first born but Erykah of course has two children already, Puma and Seven from prior rapper relationships. mazel tov!

Mars is a fitting name for a girl whose mother is a space cadet..

Have you ever heard the Once bitten twice Shy ? My Girl Badu knows how to do her. Shes an artist why wouldn’t she connect w/ other artist ya’ll know that some of ya’ll have had more hits in your personal lives. This women is not asking for any community help or hand outs and plus she is extremely spiritual… I do not pass judgement on her because I have two children by the same man (which happens to be my Husband).. Sometimes you have to live through different experiences this will enable Badu to be not only the best parent but the best teacher. Why would you teach your children to make the same mistake over and over again. I feel as though she will be able to raise her children with character. In a way she is not only giving love to her children but she is showing them how to pack light. for life has enough weights. I am so proud of her!!!!! Besides you cant always take everybody with you ! Badu thank you for feeding our souls.
Thanks for visiting Nu Point. Please don’t take my comments or title as attacking Badu. I love her as an artist. We have to admit though her actions are not quite the example we’d like our children to follow. I’m not quite sure I understand your “pack light” comment.

Seems to me, Badu should be proud of YOU, not the other way around. She could learn a thing or two about being a woman first and an artist second. I love her music too.
But I admire a married sister way more than Badu. Three babies, three fathers. Uber-tacky.

i am a huge badu fan! this is one of the most talented teacher, artist, woman, goddess of this time of all the women in the world –i respect her message, her performance and how she overlooks negativity. she can sing abc, ronald mcdonald and i will support it. i welcome her character and her way of living because she do her thang with no restraints–God bless her and her children and may God continue to give her more funky beats–sign by the great, the 1, the only, miss tee baker–all haters pack lite–puff!!!!
