Russell Simmons is the Editor-In-Chief Of Global Grind
Hopes to make it the Huffington Post of Hip-hop
Earlier today, GlobalGrind announced they have inked Russell Simmons to the post of Editor-in-Chief of the website. The announcement in conjunction with the launch of their new Celebrity Network featuring personal blogs from the industries hottest names including Vanessa and Angela Simmons, Toccara, DJ Whoo Kid, Kevin Liles, and LL Cool J.
As for Russell Simmons, who hopes the site will be the “Huffington Post of Hip-hop” he most likley has been recruited as a major draw for the already star studded roster that I’m sure is likly to grow.
At the press conference some of the new partners dissussed what they hope the focus of their blogs will be.
Kevin Liles: Random things he has to say and how to be Presidential since it is the new cool.
Vanessa and Angela: Life outside of what you see from their show Daddy’s Girls on MTV.
DJ Whoo Kid: Plans to share interviews on people from his travels from around the world.

After I read your post, I went and checked out the site. It truly sucks. I honestly can’t think of anything good to say about it. Maybe Russell will be able to save the sinking ship but it needs work. Lots of it. They can start with getting rid of the hideous layout.
Layout is bad but I can’t agree with you about the content. I’ve seen a lot of great blogs/sites out there with crappy layouts and confusing navigation that’s content is insane. Global Grind gets the job done.
The navigation was worse then the layout. I couldnt figure out how to find anything.
Yeah the ability to get around a site, I thought, would have been key. There are so many pages to OTHER site, with the Global Grind at the top, it reminds me of spam sites that are just…”WTF, meh, *clicks X*”
russell get at us
You know they suck when they don’t even have an RSS feed.
very good point
GREAT Point…didn’t notice.
It’s no HIGHBRID Nation. Plus, Rushell Thimmons can barely speak. How the hell is he gonna be editor of anything? He needs to edit his braces, so that he can speak more clearly….
oooooh lord. LMAO. Thanks for the compliment.
