Serena Williams Inks Partnership With Mission Skincare
New “Co-Founder” of skincare products engineered for athletes and active consumers
Tennis superstar Serena Williams has inked a partnership deal with Mission Skincare. Described as the first and only line of athlete-engineered skincare products, Mission is designed to help athletes and active consumers prepare, perform and recover in training, competition as well as in everyday activities. Mission has already partnered with the likes of 2-time NBA MVP Steve Nash, soccer player Mia Hamm and NBA All-Star Carmelo Anthony among.
Oddly enough Mission lists Serena and its other superstar spokespeople as “Co-Founder’s” although some quick research reveals that the product line was developed by entrepreneur Josh Shaw in 2007. While the terminology may be misleading the athletes will however be working closely Mission developers on new product innovation and partner with brand to support their charities.
“I’m excited to join Mission as
co-Founder and partner,” said Williams. “I’ve always been disappointed with the lack of skincare products that can keep up with the demands athletes place on their skin. When I learned about Mission and their focus on innovative skincare solutions for everyone with an active lifestyle, I knew I could have an impact on the company!”
