   Man listen, everybody is tryna make a dollar off this man! I’m waiting to see an Obama thong line come out, I know it’s coming lol. All I know is that I can’t go 2 comercial breaks without an ad for an Obama plate, coin, calendar—whatever. They are gonna ride this wagon until the wheels fall off for real!

   Is it only me that feels there’s something inherently racist about this product? Its like because he’s black its cool to give him a vegetation fro? I’m going to have to wrap my brain around this for a second but there’s something wrong. Would George Bush have a Chia “BUSH” even though the word play is perfect? Probably not.

     I think it’s definately racially “insensitive”. Flat out racist?….Only becuase a lot of the yt people tend to feel the need to be “ethincally accurate” when portraying us in order to show respect or liking to us. Like we’ll crucify them if they are refuse to acknowledge our “black” features properly. This goes back to the days when black mothers were mad that their daughters’ “black” barbie dolls where in fact “white” barbies dipped in brown paint. They were calling out for broader noses, fuller lips, and kinky-er(forgive me lol) hair. So it seems like yt folks approach every portrayal of blacks in this matter in fear of backlash. What they don’t get is that we just want them to be realistic about their views of beauty and image outside of themselves. But when you are portraying a specific person, all that is truly uneccesary. The man does not have an afro. He can grow one if he wanted too, but he doesn’t have one! But they figure its a clever way to market a chia and think we won’t get offended just because afros are cultural to us. SMH
