? of the Day: How Old is Akon?
he doesn’t know and doesn’t want to, what do u think?
This shit is crazy as hell. I know this guys age has been in question in past years but now this kid has came out and said that he doesn’t know his age and doesn’t want to. According to him he’s not sure if his birth certificate is authentic. He was saying he was 25 a couple years ago but his certificate would make him like 31. I say 38!

That’s a problem with many 3rd world countries. Many of my uncles ages are estimates. They were born in the countryside in the Dominican Republic. No one’s offering no birth certificates. Same where Akon came from. He’s probably like 41.
I agree…my father was from DR and he had 3 birthdays…the one where he was born…and then another 6 months later when g’ma finally made it to the office to register him…and of course his Saint’s b’day…I never could pin him down on that LOL (RIP)

He obviously needs to lie about his age for his image, which I don’t have a problem with. He was born in the United States which means his birth certificate was issued here and the last time I checked we still aren’t a 3rd world country. Anyway, I say 41. He looks just like my Cousin and he’s 41. I’m with Juan on this one. All late 30′s early 40′s are good guesses.
He was born here? Damn. Show’s how much I know. I thought he was born in Senegal. St. Louis apparently. Makes me wonder how old Nelly is…not really.
I think that he WISHES he was born in Africa because he’s so dark. I can imagine him as a little kid telling folks that he’s from St. Louis, and somebody joking, “St. Louis, AFRICA! You so dark that when you sweat, you make fingerprints”
