Jamal Woolard who has been critically acclaimed for his role as Chistopher Wallace in “Notorious” is due in court Jan. 29 for a Sept. 14 domestic dispute in which he is accused of assaulting his wife, Trina Younger. The couple had only been married seven months but together for five years prior to the incident.

According to the New York Post, Woolard has been charged with menacing and harassment stemming from an incident in which he slapped Trina in their East New York home during an argument where she accused him of coming home too late.  “She wouldn’t stop pushing me, so I snuffed her,” Woolard allegedly told police

But Roslyn Younger, mother of the former Rapper who went by Gravy tells a different tale.

“I know he wouldn’t hit her. He’s not like that. Most definitely, they have a good relationship. That’s impossible. I think it’s made up. He’s a loving husband and I never heard of anything like that before in my life.”

Prior to the recent incident, Woolard’s last made headlines as being the victim a gun shooting in which he was struck in the ass outside HOT 97, a New York City radio station.

Oddly enough, Woolard is being represented by Cory Walker, of the Legal Aid Society, YES A PUBLIC DEFENDER.  It seems Diddy, Executive Producer of film is back at his usual ways of witholding paychecks.  How else would you explain why the star of a critically acclaimed movie wouldn’t be able to afford an attorney.
