Farewell Tony Dungy; Coaching Icon Decides To Retire

Posted by Marcus "Dos Un" Holmes

in my opinion, this is what i call a hall of fame coach

 td

After the Colts lost in the 1st round to the Chargers, Coach Dungy said he’d take a week and talk with his wife to see if he would return.  Well unfortunately he decided to call it quits earlier today.  This guy has to be a sure hall of famer.  I believe 9 out his 11 seasons were playoff seasons and he got his ring.  Hell he basically got two rings because Chucky, I mean John Gruden & Tampa Bay only one because of what Tony Dungy created.  He was asked if he’d ever come back and said he didn’t anticipate it but said we’ll see.  Respect, did his job right and most importantly keeps God 1st.

  1. Juan says:

Damn…I thought he’d take one last stab at it. Thing is if he gets the itch to coach in a few years its not like he’s going to come back with a Peyton Manning in his pocket.

  2. I feel 4-5 years he might return. Who’s gonna take the head coaching job now?…Caldwell??
