Voletta Wallace Talks ‘Notorious’: Wants A Sit Down With Lil Kim
“I saw a side of my son that I heard of but I haven’t accepted”
As the premier of the Biggie biopic, “Notorious” draws closer, (exactly a week away now) we’re increasing our coverage of the film, the actors, the players and your reactions. One of the side stories obviously has been Lil Kim‘s recent outrage behind her depiction in the film. The rapper went on record blaming both Faith Evans and B.I.G.’s mom, Voletta Wallace for the casting of Naturi Naughton and Kim’s alleged inaccurate portray in the flick. We’ve already heard Naturi’s semi-response.
During a recent discussion with Essence.com to promote the film, Ms. Wallace said that during B.I.G.’s life she discovered some new things about him specifically details about his relationship with Lil Kim that researching and developing the storyline helped her deal with.
“I saw a side of my son that I heard of but I haven’t accepted. I’m angered by certain things, disappointed and shocked. So this film taught me tolerance and to be less critical.
“I would love to speak to Lil’ Kim, because I need to ask more about this love relationship because I really didn’t like the way he treated her and I’m praying that that’s not it. Only she can answer those questions. She’s a sweet girl and I didn’t think she deserved to be treated the way he treated her, if that’s the case.”
Notorious hits theaters next Friday, January 16th.

RIP
people just cant handle the truth……
If my memory serves me correctly, Kim came out a while ago saying that Biggie forced her to get an abortion. Did Momma Wallace miss that?
She’s trying to hold onto the happy smiley B.I.G. We don’t know that Biggie and we don’t care to. That’s the dilemma. She’s trying to force him on us. Postmortem that only tarnishes his legacy.
