Jermaine Dupri Fired as President of Island Records

I wonder if JD will collect unemployment

Sources are confirming that Jermaine Dupri who was Island Records President for that last 2 years has been fired. No reason for the termination has been given. As President Dupri’s duties included overseeing the labels entire urban music operations. Also he was in charge of production for all urban records under the imprint. JD was also spearheading the joint venture between Island records and Tag Body Spray which yielded Tag Records.

It’s hilarious to me to hire someone give them a slew of duties, and then fire them before they even get their feet wet. (Game Blouses)!

Is it me or are more people unemployed than have a job. I didn’t live through the depression obviously but I’m starting to get that feeling.
