Black Rob Says He Still Reps Bad Boy…WHY?!
Exhibit 238A for the Rappers Pension
Imprisoned Bad Boy veteran Black Rob emerged from under his rock to address his seemingly nonexistent status with Diddy and Bad Boy. In an interview with XXLmag, the increasingly delusional rapper refuted alleged rumors claiming he was dropped from the Bad Boy roster.
“I haven’t heard from these dudes, they might’ve took me off the Bad Boy website or whatever but I haven’t heard from anyone telling me what the deal is. So until I get a piece of paper saying that I’m no longer a Bad Boy artist, I’m still reppin’ that flag. I’m a team player man.”
I know a lot of people attack me for being cynical but seriously, whose talking Black Rob? Rumors? What rumors? Why would anyone care? As Dos Un and 4pL are joking in the background as I write this, Black Rob was too old for rap when he made his debut so what would make him relevevant after a luke warm career and a stint in the pen? Does it really matter if he’s on or off the roster? Rep your flag lik you said and in two years you’ll be eligible for the rappers pension along with Chino XL.

Milk carton status!!! Forgot all about this dude til you said somethin’.
I wonder if the R&B girl-group Dream got a note if they were going to be kicked off Bad Boy.
Bad Boy is notorious (no pun intended) for not properly notifying their artists that they are dropped from the labels. However they are also known for keeping artists who are inactive on the label long after they are forgotten about. Remember how Mase returned from retirement and tried to sign with G-Unit only to find out he was still a Bad Boy artist.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Black Bob is still on the roster. He’s actually one of the most critically acclaimed hip hop artist they’ve had (probably only second to Biggie).
As for why Rob still reps after being ignored and/or forgotten. Bad Boy is all that dude has ever known. He’s just loyal. There ain’t no rapper retirement plan and he’s just sticking with what he knows.
That’s like hanging around your old job that you got fired from hoping they’ll let you back. You know, kinda like you do sometimes at CBS.
