[RANT] Putting the Heterosexual Gay Blog Heckler in His Place

Posted by Juan

Respect the thrown!

Khalil Amani

As the Highbrid Nation has grown I have been flattered by the increased volume of link love spread throughout the blogosphere to my rants. Admittedly, along with the admiration, comes the venom. They say one is not measured by the adorations of his admirers but rather the wrath of his adversaries.

With that said, it comes as no surprise to me given the controversial angle from which I write that I would not be without my detractors or hecklers. It’s all part of the game after all. But perhaps the ultimate sign of adoration is when the man, Khalil Amani who declares himself “ya gay friends favorite straight blogger” dedicates “a four page letter” to address one of your post. Allow me to explain.

Earlier this week I penned a seemingly lighthearted post entitled “Buffy The Body Admits Ass Injections in Profanity Infused Tirade.” There’s no secret that we here at the Nation pay particular attention to the voluptuous hind quarters of hip hop modeling’s elite. Given the fact that most of our coverage is limited to the occasional collection of pictures and the sporadic video, the “news” of Buffie’s outburst was entertaining at the very least. The post did well traffic wise and received an excellent response from the Nation…Thank You.

However the aforementioned blogger who continually feels the need to clarify his sexuality as a “straight blogger” decided to use my post as a gateway to personal gain by posting an endless reply on his own blog. Apparently he couldn’t find his way to the comment box. The response, which among many other things, questioned my personal opinions about Buffie’s attractiveness is not only boring but irrelevant. In his self-absorbed rant, Amani even looked out and corrected my grammar and diction like my fifth grade English teacher, minus the red pen. Gee thanks, if I had the time or interest I’d do the same for you. But here’s a freebee since he opened himself up for ridicule, its [sic] not (sic) dick, always placed within SQUARE brackets and traditionally italicized to indicate that a quote is intentionally so written. Oh and its “happiness” not “happyness” I guess he missed the ironic misspelling from the Will Smith movie.

Additionally, I find it curious that this bizzaro Ice-T, hip hop’s geriatric blogger referred to me as a “non-entity blogger.” Hmmmm. Non-entity really? Check the stats grandpa…the only thing less relevant than you and your tired ass pleas for attention is your blog which will remain nameless because even in your dissertation like rant which reads like War and Peace you neglected to backtrack my post so you’ll get no more free promo from me. (Yes it’s a run on sentence.)

Honestly I don’t mind when I get heckled, challenged by citizens of the Highbrid Nation. I welcome it. Take Zack for example, we never agree on anything and he loves to call me out but it makes for interesting debate. After all this is your Nation, this is your platform as much as it is mine. We just present the issues and topics and let you take the discussion go where it may.

However when it comes to Khalil Amani, his tactics are transparent. Obviously a well educated individual, he shows the promise as a quality adversary, identifying errors in my reports and providing interesting insight which of course added to the discussion. However most recently in a futile effort to both  establish credibility for his own argument and produce some worthwhile content on his blog he decided to spew venom on my post. Truth is he’s a fan. Back in June, Evorgleb did Amani an unsolicited solid and threw some attention his way when he blogged about him. Ever since, he’s been lurking around the comment section of our posts hoping to entice some of our readers to visit his tired ass written lectures. Periodically he changes up his alias posing as someone else, leaving comments that include links to his site. He even goes so far as to occasionally send some of his boyfriends over to the Nation to do his dirty work for him. But the Highbird Nation is smarter than that.

My advice to Amani would be to keep writing your wack ass books that probably won’t top Central High’s Best Seller list and leave the Highbrid Nation alone, we’ve got bigger fish to fry. Stop trying to build your buzz on the backs of more successful, more creative and harder working individuals than yourself. It’s not only wack, it’s pathetic.

But since you wasted so much time I’ll also squash your silly argument real quick. The mere fact that you would kickstart your junior high school essay by attempting to declare the video vixen as Hip-Hop’s 5th Element is not only blasphemous but also discredits anything you subsequently had to say. How could someone of your advanced age, who laughably claims to be Hip Hop make such an asinine statement? For you to sully the integrity of our beloved culture by some how trying to glorify one of the main culprits of hip hop’s brainless error is very irresponsible. I’d expect more from you. But then again, in the end it doesn’t even matter…no one’s listening to you and your comments on your response prove that.

I’ve already wasted too much time on this derelict. So the lesson here kids is you can throw stones at thrown but when you’re a grown ass man who throws like a girl and misses the mark, it’s not worth the energy. Stand down Khalil, that’s your last warning.

LOL!The best blog you’ve ever written! … and the longest! Everything you said is true! I think I’ll go kill myself. …being 48 years of age and ain’t done shit with my life! Maybe I can get a job at highbridnation? My blogs are irrelevant, but Davey D seems to get off on posting them! Hmmm? Back to my boring-ass site! Ps. It’s “heterosexual” not “hetrosexual.”

oh, and one more thing… Juan wrote, “Evorgleb did Amani an unsolicited solid and threw some attention his way when he blogged about him.” lol! If it was about attention, I certainly wouldn’t be slumming over here! If you go back and read his blog, he told his readers that he invited me to explain my views, but I chose not to. I’m seeking attention? nah! Hell, Byron Crawford (XXL) did two blogs about my ass! I think his site gets far more hits than this site. ALLHIPHOP.COM quoted me (about Trick Trick’s homophobia) and threw me a huge bone… gave the title of my most recent book on their site, so it’s wishful thinking to think that my books won’t/don’t sell. lol. I wish you no ill will Juan. May you and Highbridnation have a prosperous year. Oh, and check me out in the next issue of Spin Magazine…lol! really!

“I don’t know Khalil personally, so i may be completely wrong about him and his motives. I’ve actually invited him to HN in hopes that he could better explain where is coming from.”

  4. Zack says:

We DO agree on one thing: we want a better life for our people, while supporting the true spirit of hip hop. You actually kinda zinged me and I didn’t deserve that, but to each his own.
    .

Khalil is a hater, but let him do his job. He makes you look better in the process. What he forgets about blogs, is that they are NOT replacements for news articles. That’s why they can have grammatical and spelling errors and not be subject to retractions and fines.
    .

But you got a NEW enemy now since you been talking trash about me. ;)

  5. Zack says:

Plus, Khalil is irrelevant. He’s using PR to his advantage, while hurting himself in the long run. As a rising PR consultant, I can tell you that bridge burning is a dangerous social practice. You never know who you’re gonna need in the future. Oh, I’m sorry Khalil. I meant, “Whom you are going to need”. My bad!

  6. Khalil Amani says:

If I’m “burning bridges,” then Byron Crawford, Perez Hilton, Charlamgne tha God and EVERY OTHER hip-hop site has demolished them! You can hardly find ANY POSITIVITY on any of these sites! That’s the M.O. (modus operandi)of hip-hop blogging… talking shit about the next man… as Juan did to Buffie! What “bridge” did Juan just “burn” writing a blog about Buffie being ugly? How many fans does she have that would say “fuck you Juan?” Point your argument back at yourself and get off Juan’s dick! He can be critical of Buffie, yet I can’t be critical of him? There is no beef betwen Juan and I! Just some blogging shit! That’s as far as it goes with me. “Irrelevance” is subjective my friend! If your summation of me was true, I would not be in Spin Mag, LA Weekly, Allhiphop.com, Daveyd.com, hoodgrownonline.com, gayagenda.com and…. over here at Highbridnation! The proof is in the pudding! We’re bloggers! This is what we do! Juan did exactly what he was supposed to do and I respect him for getting at me! I enjoyed his blog! really!

  7. Zack says:

Sorry, sir. I’m not on anybody’s “dick”. You should know, because you hang around those who enjoy the company of a phallus.
    .

Don’t try to change the subject because Juan clowned you. That’s my boy. He’d probably do the same for me. The fact that you would equate two men looking out for each other to something of a homoerotic nature proves you as a fraud. You say that you’re all about gay rights, yet you try to put me down just like your homeboys.

Khalil, you’re not on my level. Plus, if you were notable, you wouldn’t need to tell me what sites you’ve been on. I’d already know about you. But guess how I found out about you? Through this site. So, unless you can explain that without disrespecting me or yourself, tuck your tail between your legs and go bark another MOON. Because THIS MOON is gonna shine whether you like it or not.

  8. Khalil Amani says:

Why am I even addressing you Zack? Perhaps you and Juan are one and the same? Anyhoo.. I think you are riding Juan’s dick a little too hard and serious! If Juan truly “clowned” me, then what more can one of his fans/stans (you!) add to the conversation? You’re his friend! Of course you’re gonna say that biased shit! What else can you say? Juan’s blog was ENTIRELY about me. Mine was about Buffie where I mentioned his name. I didn’t devote a blog to Juan, so if you consider it a victory for Juan, have it as you may. And speaking of levels… why don’t you run down your resume’ since I’m not “on your level.” Tell me where I can read your work. I’d really like to get to know what level you’re on. I just told you a little about who’s checkin’ for me, since you claim I’m “irrelevant.” I even did an interview with VIBE MAGAZINE last year, albeit, they never ran it. So how does that make me irrelevant? I’ve written six books with one of them being negotiated as a screenplay as we speak! So, again, Zack, enlighten me as to your “moon status.” Shout-out to Juan! lol! Ps. Yes! I love this site!

  9. DJ Diva says:

that bitch is ugly…there I said it…Internet beef is wack son…thanks for giving him the b.i. Juan…
