T-Boz of TLC Latest Celebirty Victim of Housing Crisis
I can’t help but NOT feel bad for these folks
Well the celebrity bankruptcy watch is officially on. While at first it seemed that the economic crisis only effected greedy wall street investment banks and frivolous wanna-be hip hop giants. However, as we’ve seen over the past week everyone from Nene from The Real Housewives of Atlanta to former American Idol Fantasia has been hit by the housing crisis.
Well we can now add Former TLC leadchick, T-Boz to the list. TMZ is reporting that her 10,000-sq. ft. Georgia home will be sold at auction next month after the artist failed to stay current with mortgage payments.
According to records uncovered by the site, T-Boz (governement: Tionne Watkins-Rolison) defaulted on her mortgage, reportedly worth around $530,000. Another one bites the dust. We all fall down, the rich and mighty just fall harder.
At what point do these folks sit down with those that are managing their money to get an accurate assessment? It is absolutely incredible that you have practically everything at your fingertips, yet allow your finances to be managed so poorly.
When will these stars look at their peers that have fallen into the same pitfalls and wake up and say I can’t let that happen to me (ie. Red Foxx, Wesley Snipes, Dame Dash, the list is endless).
T-Boz, much as I love her, is even worse because TLC has been down the bankruptcy road before.
Exaaactly! You hit it on the head miamimarcus. Hence why I don’t feel bad for them. T-Boz had her money stolen from her with the whole too many hands in the cookie jar bit before. She should be personally managing her money AND have a person to oversea and help. Plus she knows better than to live beyond her means especially with the group now a wrap, her being a mother and her past experiences.
Had to go and pay the house note and car payment myself after posting!!!

This may be a dumb question not a real estate agent or anything but, why do celebrities have mortgage payments when there was a point in time when they were banking enough to pay for the house in full? Same ? for cars…
