Toni Braxton Voices New Autism Speaks Campaign
Mother to a 5-year old autistic son, Braxton dedicates herself to the educating others
While Toni Braxton may not still reign as one of R&B’s elite that’s not necessarily because of diminished skills. Braxton is the parent of a 5-year-old autistic child, Diezel and as a result has dramatically reduced her work load and dedicated herself to raising awareness for the condition. In this new new public service announcement, she urges parents to familiarize themselves with the early warning signs of the developmental disorder which as she points out affects one in 150 children. I think our society really needs to start looking harder at the causes of autism because cases amongst children seem to be growing at an alarming rate. Fortunately with the right help Children with autism can live very normal lives.
