Soulja Boy Helps Collect Toyz in Da Hood

Posted by Juan

ATL gets back on track with Hip Hop themed Toy Drive

Soulja Boy

Since we were bagging on the ATL rather hard earlier today I figured I’d share some good will from The A during this Holiday season.  On Dec. 19 Marketing ‘Genius’ of the Year, Soulja Boy will host the Toyz N Da Hood toy drive event at an Atlanta area Walmart.

Mr. Boy will be on hand signing copies of his latest album “isouljaboytellem.com,” and more importanly collecting toys for underprivileged kids. The 6th annual Toyz N Da Hood runs through Dec. 17 at various Atlanta middle and high schools where organizers are challenging students to compete against other schools to collect the most toys.  Organizers hope to collect 50,000 toys, almost three times what was collected last year.  A free concert featuring ATL hip hop artists to be named later will be awarded to the winning school.

  1. That’s all good, possibly more people will show up knowing thier kids NEED to see Soulja Boy…BUT, I was hoping to see that he’s actually BUYING toys as well.

‘hopin for 50,000 toys’…”Mr.SOD Money Gang” gettin so much cake why not just make that happen. Pretty sure the YUMS cheKk could cover it.

Dont get me wrong…its good to…”help out”…but I’m just blah when I hear about people in a power position just “helping,” and hardly HELPING.

    Am I wrong?

Nah I think you’re absolutely right. I think a donation plus involvement is essential. I just don’t think Soulja Boy really has any money. I do however think if he’s able to draw using his name on the bill then so be it.

  2. Zack says:

    I co-sign on both of y’all!
