Common Engineers ‘Softwear’ For Microsoft
New T-Shirt Line Designs by Common help Microsoft get their swagger back
Apparently Microsoft read our “How to fix the monster” post, and had Common do some T-shirts to make them cool by association. Does this mean that he’s a PC? Homie is riiiiiiich!
Microsoft apparently has gotten tired of taking shots from Apple and the highly successful “PC & Mac” commercial campaign. Recently Microsoft launched their “I’m A PC” campaign appealing to the younger hipper generation in a long-awaited response to the Apple unrelenting onslaught.
Keeping with the theme it appears the ‘Soft will begin partnering with artists on creative collaborative marketing concepts. One such effort is a new T-Shirt line they’ve release in collaboration with Common. Designed by Common himself, The Softwear Line of Tees feature graphics reminiscent of 1985 which as Common explains in this promo video, is the year that Windows first stepped on the map and Common fell in love with Hip Hop. The flagship design is the “I Used To Love Her” Tee pictured above….pretty cool.

Up kinda late posting huh?
.
I see Microsoft is promoting garbage (Common’s words) just like they do with their software.
.
The T-shirts are the business though. Let’s hope they have them at my clothing spot of choice.
Never too late!
Since when is Microsft’s product garbage? (besides VISTA)
Well…Vista is their flagship product. I think that’s a little Apple hate.
I was actually referring to Vista. Perhaps I should have mentioned that in the comment.
