Kanye West Makes Beef With Steven Colbert Official

Posted by Mike "Evorgleb" Belgrove

Who truly is the voice of this generation of this decade?

Some of you may have heard by now, Steven Colbert has called out Kanye West. On his show recently Colbert referred to Kanye as arrogant as well as a few other unkind things. It is all part of a publicity stunt to sell more copies of his new album, A Colbert Christmas. However he may have struck a nerve with this quote:

“You are not the voice of this generation of this decade. As a matter of fact with all the auto tuning on your records, you are barely the voice of your own albums”

Ouch. That stings a little. Check out the whole clip below.

Today Kayne responded on his Twitter account with the following statement:

Colbert will have a field day with this one.

Mr. Colbert,
I listen to your voice and like what you have to say. Everyone could use more humor and less Kanye.

Why Kayne mad? That was dumb funny! Colbert’s humor is nerdy and hip at the same time with refreshing, unpredictable snaps. I agree with Marne

what pisses me off is that I just bought Kanye’s new album, but if I had known Colbert was coming out with something I would have bought Colbert’s album first. Damn!

Is Kanye/Colbert face off the new Kanye/50 face off? That would great.

Knowing what a great strategist Kanye is, I wouldn’t surprised if he and Stephen Colbert discussed this beef strategy over some Indian tea to boost both of their album sales.

i used to hear about this dude, Colbert. people at wrk used to say he’s funny, he’s the best etc etc. then i caught a show. he’s very good with isults and cover ups right behind them and people laugh at them like its natural to do. its positive and negative speak all in the same breath. does it to everyone the writers decide to hit up every time the show aires. does it mean its ok to do? yes for him and no for the general public. not everyone has thick skin and not everyone will turn the other cheek and say, “stab and slap me again please!!”

Colbert did indeed fire back and aired pictures of him and Kanye buddied up at the Emmys proving that Kanye indeed know “who the f*ck” he is. I wouldn’t be surprised if in the end Kanye is a guest on the show.

I just watched it. Was it not photoshopped? But hey, Colbert followed through and knocked dude down to number five.
