No he won’t be memorialized like BIG, PUN and the rest of them.

Two teenage rappers from England have forever changed the landscape of rap “beefs.”  According to the BBC, an unnamed 18 year-old has been sentenced to just shy of five years behind bars after pleading guilty to charges stemming from an incident in which he struck a fellow rapper in the head with a a brick which would eventually lead to his death.

According to the report, Ikye Nmezu a 16 year old rapper from north London had been in an internet beef via diss records with the unnamed defendant.  The two teens who were previously unfamiliar had an unexpected encounter in February which sparked a physical fight in which the defendant struck Iyke with a brick in domepiece prior to skating off.

The victim was taken to two hospitals where although he was treated, doctors failed to detect an abscess to the brain and dukes passed away from a related infection.

Can we really be surprised though.  An Internet beef escalated to the death of a man.  Such a shame and the truth of it all is in all likelihood neither of their records will ever see the light of day so was it all worth it.  Its all monkey see, monkey do.  Yeah these “gangsters” weren’t gun toting but violence has always characterized the rap game, why because its sexy.  This poor kid might have fancied the life but now he’s not even going to be memorialized in rap songs like B.I.G., Pun, Pac and the rest of them are.  Plus now this dumb ass will be locked up for close to five joints (lucky its not longer) and he aint even get his name printed in the article so much for the street cred.  At least he didn’t shoot himself in the leg with his own gun though.
