Barack Obama Names Hillary Clinton Secretary Of State
Seems like a great pick on the surface but I wondering if there isn’t more to this.
This morning Barack Obama held a press conference where he announced his National Security team. The biggest name announced was that of Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State. Most people seem very excited about that choice as Hillary has shown that she is a very smart and capable person. However one must wonder why she would take the role if her ultimate goal is to run for president again one day.
As a senator she would be able to create more of a track record that she could use when running for president again. Also Hillary Clinton’s thing has always been healthcare which she will have little impact on as Secretary of State. So why did she take the post? Maybe she wants to do something different or just doesn’t want to refuse a call to duty. Who knows?
One thing I was saying when Clinton was campaigning so hard for Obama in October was “he must have promised her a cabinet position if she helped him”. Why else would she bust her behind so much to get him elected? Now I’m starting to think I was right and this is all the result of a deal that was cut before Obama was even elected.

Oh and don’t doubt for one second that Money wasn’t behind this as well. She made sure that Obama addressed her special interest when enacting new legislation when he reaches the oval office.
i believe that this is also a “keep your enemies closer” tactic as well. although we know that she is capable of almost any job thrown her way i believe that barack feels that its in his best interest to keep her close. the reasons only he knows but i will be keeping my eye on this situation. i have to admit i’m just not sure about her yet!
