New Retro Jordan PHLY Modeled After Mike’s HS Playing Days
The Jordan PHLY resembles typical basketball kicks from the late ’70′s
The Jordan Brand is taking “Retro” To a whole new level. Previously only to have existed as a concept shoe, the Jordan PHLY is rolling out in stores this month. Unlike many of the Air Jordan designs that have been so popular that they were remixed and re-released, this shoe is actually modeled after they type of sneaker Mike would have worn years before he was drafted by the Bulls or even attended North Carolina. Inspired by his playing career in the late ’70′s and early ’80′s at Laney High School the shoe’s title pays homage to his former coach (the PH in PHLY stands for Pop Herring.)
Much like the popular Chuck Taylor’s of the time the kicks are simple. Look for these White/ Cement Jordan PHLY soon they are said to Retail for only $85 but expect limited shipments and you might have to drop a C Note or two if you miss the initial shipment.
