First let me send congrats to Obama for winning the election with class and intelligence. Second, let me now say to the African American population: Just because a black man is president, doesn’t mean that you can sit on your asses and do nothing and expect the world to come to your feet. There will be no “Obama 40 acres and a mule” package coming in. Yes, a black man won. Yea yea yea. But one person cannot make this country change. It is a collective effort given by each and everyone of us. We must not forget that it was hard work which got Obama to this stage, and it will be hard work to make change which will help this country.

Sadly, black people are already doing foolish things like shooting up in the air, taking off of work, throwing parties for Obama, as if the world has stopped just because Obama won. Have black people lost their f$#king mind? The state of this country’s economy hasn’t changed just because the change of a skin color in the white house has. Also, I would like to say that as everyone is enjoying their “Obama hip hop” songs, keep this in mind: The same artists who had those songs ready for play as soon as he won, also had songs ready for play if he would have lost…they don’t give a damn. They are just trying to make money. And it isn’t truely milking the Obama cow until Diddy dances on a song. Yes…I’m not being a hater but being a realist. There are still a huge lack of jobs, increasing unemployment, ignorant niggas and redneck, and we were thrown a bone.

I only hope that we move very quickly to continue to trend of positive change (starting with Obama’s election). The world needs positive change…not more hip hop nigga business about a black president and more lazy shiftless nonsense.
