Dumped Several Times Recently, Manager Benny Medina Shuts Down Shop

Posted by Juan

Manager to the stars engulfed by the Hollywood drama and forced to close down Handprint Entertainment

Benny Medina

One time manager-to-the stars Benny Medina, who once boasted clients the likes of Tyra Banks, J-Lo Sean “Diddy” Combs, Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, Chris Rock, Mekhi Phifer, Will Smith, Usher and Mariah Carey has given up and decided to shut down shop on his outfit Handprint Entertainment.

Medina and his partner Jeff Pollack’s eventual demise may have been as result of the evenflow of Hollywood drama.  Tyra became to Diva for for him and moved on to greenier pastures, Medina got all caught up in the internal family strife between Usher his mom-ager and his wife.  J-Lo bounced on Medina after it was clear he and her then boyfrined Ben Affleck couldn’t get along and as for Mariah? Who needs a manager when you got your very own boy toy in Nick Cannon.

They say Hollywood is a tough business that will chew you up and spit you out.  I don’t feel bad for the guy as I’m sure he’s made some decent coin but at the same time its just another example of the nature of the biz.

  1. The game is crazy, especially when your clients get caught up in it and you’re the one left to dry. I know you’re keeping it moving Benny Medina. Best of luck.
