The Legendary Don Cornelius Arrested on Charges of Feleny Domestic Violence
Long-time Soul Train host booked and released
According to Billboard, symbol of the Soul Train empire, Don Cornelius, was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence Saturday. According to the report, jakes responded to his Hollywood Hills crib on Friday after “someone” reported a domestic dispute.
Cornelius was charged with felony domestic violence and released on $50,000 bail. His court hearing is scheduled for next month.
Cornelius started “Soul Train” in 1970 where he was the show’s host until 1993. The show is described as being responsible for introducing television audiences to the likes of Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye and Barry White.
