Though he has been the host of the BET Awards for the past few years, Katt Williams won’t be hosting this years event as planned. News recently broke that at the actually tapings of the show T-Pain was the host with Katt’s where abouts unknown. After the news broke of the host switch BET’s released the following ridiculous statement on a blog to make light of the situation.

“So we were all hanging out last night and Katt bets T-Pain he couldn’t beat him in a break dance battle. Not knowing T-Pain was an extremely DOPE break dancer, Katt thought it was an easy win. T-Pain said if I win, I get to host the Hip Hop Awards.”

A few idiots took this to heart while others were believing that money was an issue and that Katt had backed out at the last minute due to his demands not getting met. However the real reason for the Katt William’s absence is a bit more dramatic. Seems he was arrested at about 4am the morning before the tapings.

No details are known at this time as to why the lil shrimp pimp was arrested but he has been known to have run ins with the law in the past.
