Kerry Washington Tapped By L’Oreal For Ovarian Cancer Ad Campaign
Actress will be the spokeswoman for the new Color of Hope campaign
Cosmetic juggernaut, L’Oreal has announced they’ve entered a partnership with actress, Kerry Washington to be the spokeswoman for their new ovarian cancer initiative called Color of Hope, an awareness campaign designed to encourage more women to get checked out for the disease.
“One of the reasons why I decided to work with L’Oreal is because of all the philanthropic work that they do in the community,” Washington explained to OK! magazine. “I feel like they’re not a company that tries to take advantage of women’s insecurities by making women feel not good enough so they have to go and buy makeup to feel good about themselves. Instead, they really believe in the work of women and that women deserve to look good and feel good every single day. It’s frightening how we don’t have the kind of research and development that we need for ovarian cancer. When it comes to breast cancer, we know how to do early detection. The research is there, but for ovarian cancer, that just doesn’t exist and by the time people know, it’s too late.”
As part of the campaign L’Oreal has launched three new products a lipstick, a bag and a necklace which upon purchase they will donate all proceeds going towards the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund. Good Shit.

Whether you mean “prey” or “pray”, you’re a good man Albert. And you are too, Mr. “Marketing Executive” (I hope you didn’t read my now deleted blog post bashing your arrogance).
We’re still cool at the end of the day. Just as long as you don’t look down on me.
Wait I missed it. Which one?!
