CodeBlack Interactive Partners With Google/ YouTube To Bring Sponsored Content To The ‘Blackosphere’
Change the way Black folks are entertained
Codeblack President Quincy Newell
It seems like every week I open my newspaper or my browser and discover some new way that the internet is being used to market and communicate to people in ways we’ve never imagine or thought possible before. As visionaries and marketeers begin to test the limits we’re (at least I’ve begun) to realize we’ve really only skimmed the surface with regard to the ‘net’s possibilities.
Codeblack Interactive, a subsidiary of Codeblack Entertainment, hopes to be the next to set the bar. They recently announced a strategic partnership with YouTube and Google to provide internet based programming to web sites targeting the urban and African American audiences. The new animated show (which for some reason no one knows the name of) will be featured alongside Codeblack’s unrivaled library of African-American filmed content, the largest in the nation.
The company will launch the initiative with an animated show that will premier via YouTube and has been created by “Boondocks” head writer Yamara Taylor. As part of the partnership Google will strategically syndicate the content on Google Networked sites which target an African American audience while Codeblack secures sponsors for content.
