UPDATE: David Letterman Feels Like ‘Ugly Date’ After McCain Stood Him Up
Mad spits venom on the Republican Nominee and his running “babe”
UPDATE: David Letterman is still burned up after Presidential hopefull, John McCain backed out of scheduled appearance and lied to cover it up. After recruiting McCain critic, Keith Olbermann to take the Senator’s place on Wednesday night the comedian continued the verbal tongue lashing on Thursday’s show saying he felt like a “patriot” to let McCain off his commitment to deal with the economy and “now I’m feeling like an ugly date…That’s what I feel like, I feel like an ugly date. I feel used. I feel cheap. I feel sullied.”
McCain spokeswoman Nicole Wallace said Thursday that the campaign “felt this wasn’t a night for comedy. We deeply regret offending Mr. Letterman, but our candidate’s priority at this moment is to focus on this crisis,” Wallace said on NBC’s “Today” show.
As we very well know, being president will require pissing a few people off and lying might be an unfortunate necessary evil its those that lie aren’t good at it and get busted that we might want to think twice about before voting to office.
I’m not a late night talk show watcher but this is classic. I’ve always tried to be somewhat impartial with my election coverage (well maybe not) but when you blow off a talk show host to do an interview with the VERY SAME NETWORK that he works for is terrible. How could we want this man as President.
Now granted I’d be willing to bet its not HIS fault and was the result of bad scheduling by his staff but HE put the staff together and ultimately, yes, it is HIS fault. To make matters worse don’t tell them man you can’t come because you needed to race back to Washington. You got caught lying and your not even President yet. Shout to Malcolm for the video.

A few points worth noticing…
.
As expected, this BS move is designed and being used as a means to cancel the VP debate, which was supposed to be next Thursday.
.
I think he went on Couric’s news program in an attempt to cancel out the interview Couric had with Palin, which was a total disaster.
.
Did you happen to catch the speech McCain just gave at the Clinton Global Inititave? In it, he basically stole Obama’s 5 point addendum to their joint statement, and claimed that he’s been “talking about these for weeks”
.
40 days to the election and still the VP candidate will not answer questions unless they are with friendly reporters in a prepared environment.
.
Are there any artists in the HP world? I’m looking for someone who can airbrush mime makeup on a Palin picture for me.
That is some bitchass moves pulled by mr. McCain, but it wasnt that smart either
Dave brought up some very good points and yes Malcolm that Palin interview was a disaster!
